Meet Isaiah 117 House of Duval County
Isaiah 117 House opened its doors in Duval County in June 2024 — Florida’s first home of its kind. It exists for the gap that so few people think about: the hours or days between the moment a child is removed from an unsafe home and the moment they’re placed with a foster family.
In that in-between space, Isaiah 117 House offers a warm room instead of a caseworker’s office, clean clothes instead of a trash bag, and a caring volunteer instead of a stranger’s paperwork. Their mission is simple: ease that transition, lighten the load on child welfare workers, and let every child know they are loved and not alone.
